[…] but Mariangela Vacatello rose superbly to the occasion.

One’s only query was the occasionally steely tone of the Fazioli concert grand she had chosen.

But the instrument was beautifully responsive in piano and pianissimo passages, aiding Vacatello’s enviable command of coloration.

Vacatello sets the scene. Her entry on stage is already dazzling. Her personality has captivated the audience….

She is animated, authoritative and assure. work. Thanks to her innate facility for phrasing which  portrays exactly the character the music, she adds her own surprise and enhancements.

The structure remains clear and is extremely well built. She is witty, intelligent, sparkling with a personal interpretation that is seductive, charming and one does not doubt that she’ll follow through to the end of that breathtaking  final gallop.

In the finale of great melodic phrases and dancing motifs she confirms without question that she ha total mastery of this.

[…] Vacatello aptly captured the brilliance of the concerto as well as the more subtle moments.
